(Dan Tri) – Leading by two goals after only 10 minutes of play, they were awarded a penalty, but Arsenal even almost lost at West Ham.

Man City’s victory over Leicester on Saturday night forced Arsenal to win against West Ham to maintain a 6-point gap with the second team.

Arsenal started strongly at West Ham Stadium, the away team pushed the attacking team high, continuously pressuring the home team.

Just three minutes after scoring the opening goal, Arsenal doubled the gap.

Leading by two goals, Arsenal proactively slowed down and lured the opponent into pushing forward.

In the 31st minute, Gabriel fouled Paqueta in the penalty area, the referee awarded a penalty to West Ham.

West Ham rose strongly in the remaining minutes of the first half. They made Ramsdale work hard, but the home team could not find an equalizer.

In the 50th minute, the referee judged that Antonio touched the ball with his hand in the penalty area and gave Arsenal a penalty.

Two minutes after missing the chance to score, Arsenal equalized.

Having been equalized, Arsenal was forced to push their offensive line higher, but they could not break through West Ham’s massive defense system and confident play.

In the 82nd minute, Antonio was almost able to score for the home team. He headed near the right post after a cross from his teammate from the left. The ball hit the crossbar and flew out while Ramsdale could only watch.

Unable to beat West Ham, Arsenal accepted to split the points.
