(Dan Tri) – Despite twice taking the lead against Tottenham, in the end Man Utd only achieved a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford in the match of round 21 of the Premier League.
Man Utd took on Tottenham at home with the pressure of needing to win to continue raising hopes of chasing the top 4. Ten Hag’s team was even pushed down to 9th place on the rankings.
The away team Tottenham was without captain Son Heung Min because the Korean player went to Qatar to attend the 2023 Asian Cup, but rookie Werner was named in the starting lineup.

After the break, Tottenham attacked and found the equalizer just a few dozen seconds after the second half started.

The equalizer helped Tottenham soon relieve the pressure. The away team continued to control the game and put pressure on the home team in the second half.
After more than 10 minutes of seeing his students being pressured, coach Ten Hag began to adjust the personnel by bringing McTominay and Martinez onto the field, thanks to which Man Utd improved a little.
The Scottish midfielder continued to miss a good scoring opportunity when he headed over the bar from 5 meters away in the 90+5 minute.
After round 21, Man Utd had 32 points and ranked 7th on the rankings.
